Connecting Oxfordshire schools with the University

With the help of Oxfordshire teachers, education partners and colleagues from across the University, The University of Oxford has published Opening Oxford: A Guide for Schools in Oxfordshire, offering local schools a streamlined way to explore educational resources and collaborate directly with the University. Printed copies have recently been distributed to schools across the county, and the guide is now fully accessible online.

Designed as a dedicated resource for educators, the publication is tailored for staff involved in curriculum planning, Key Stage leads, and coordinators focused on professional development. It’s goal is to help school teams tap into university-led enrichment activities, visit programmes, and academic departments.

Successful Launch at Brasenose College

The release was marked by a launch event at Brasenose College hosted by Vice-Chancellor Professor Irene Tracey. The gathering brought together Headteachers and teachers from across Oxfordshire, University representatives, and regional community partners to discuss stronger local partnerships.

Provide Feedback

The Schools Engagement team welcomes feedback from local educators on their experience using the guide to help shape future outreach and collaborative projects.
